Visitors to the EICMA 2015 motorcycle show (one of the largest of its kind in the world) had the exciting opportunity to take a virtual pillion ride with 2015 World Superbike Champion Jonathan Rea on the Portuguese racetrack of Portimão.

Kawasaki and Innoactive designed the free to download app with a 360° embedded video to offer a “close to real life” product experience. The VR One head-mounted Display from Carl Zeiss enabled visitors to experience a 360° view in virtual reality; a total package that ensured visitors were fully immersed in the experience sitting on a new Ninja ZX-10R with VR headset and headphones on.  The 360° view and accompanying authentic engine sound actually resulted in users adjusting their body position to “lean” into curves.

This unique and innovative experience resulted in wide-spread attention from media and visitors alike making the EICMA introduction of the app a great success creating a boost for the launch of the app as a free download on Google play and in the iOS App Store.

The official 360° can be experienced when using Google Chrome, or on the latest Youtube App on mobile phone.
