Next-level power

Next-level power

Complementing the highly acclaimed power offered by the KX250F's dual injectors - a world first for motocrossers - and direct intake routing, Superb FI response ensures smooth delivery.

high-speed chassis with factory-style components

high-speed chassis with factory-style components

The aluminium perimeter frame is a lightweight construction composed of forged, extruded and cast parts. Revised rigidity contributes to lighter handling and improved rear wheel traction, while a slimmer design contributes to improved ergonomics.

Slim rider Interface

Slim rider Interface

The KX250's frame and minimalist bodywork, designed with rider ergonomics in mind, offer a slim rider interface and racer-friendly ergonomics. The natural riding position makes it even easier for riders to go fast. Lightweight grips feature a new material and grip pattern designed to provide bot hincreased grip and excellend cushioning for riders' hands.

Separate function fork (SFF) Type 2

Separate function fork (SFF) Type 2

The KX250F was the first mass-production motocrosser to feature Showa's Separate function fork (SFF) which separates damping and shock absorbing duties.

High-Performance piston

High-Performance piston

A high-performance piston features the same design used on our factory racers, contributing to improved performance at all rpm. A short skirt, reinforced external ribs and the industry’s only mass-production use of a bridged-box bottom, (featuring fully flush internal bracing) result in a lighter, stronger piston.

New uni-trak rear suspension

New uni-trak rear suspension

Linkage mounts below the swingarm for more precise suspension tuning. Dual compression adjustability offers a wide range of tuning options. Kashima coat on the tank cylinder improves action. For 2014 revised settings contribute to increased riding comfort, and offer improved damping performance and ground-following ability.

Race-ready front suspension

Race-ready front suspension

A super-hard titanium coating on the outer surface of the inner forktubes combined with Kashima coat on the inside of the outer tubes reduces sliding friction and improves action, for a better ride feel.

The holeshot advantage: Launch Control Mode

The holeshot advantage: Launch Control Mode

Like the KX450F, the MY14 KX250F features a launch control system similar to that on our factory racers. With the simple press of a button, riders can activate a separate engine map designed to ensure efficient race starts in slippery conditions. (the Launch Control Mode map retards ignition timing, allowing tyres to gain grip in low-traction situations, and allowing riders to focus on their lines).

Race-oriented brake system

Race-oriented brake system

Front and rear petal discs are complemented by a pushrod style front brake master cylinder and front brake pads with a high coefficient of friction delivering stronger braking performance and superb control.

KX FI Calibration Kit (option)

KX FI Calibration Kit (option)

The KX FI Calibration Kit is the same kit used by Kawasaki’s works teams in Europe and the U.S. The kit enables expert riders to adjust engine characteristics (by rewriting actual data maps) to suit their preference, record riding data, and analyse their riding data to further fine-tune their settings.

Easy engine tuning: DFI setting data selection

Easy engine tuning: DFI setting data selection

Adjusting engine settings to suit conditions has never been easier than with the new DFI couplers. The new ECU features three engine maps (soft, standard and hard). riders can easily switch between them to suit riding conditions just by plugging in each of the 4-pin coupler.

Adjustable footpeg position -

Adjustable footpeg position -

Adjustable footpeg brackets enable riders to lower their footpeg position
5 mm. In the lower position, centre of gravity is lowered as is the rider’s point of view, adding to both physical and psychological stability.

Factory Styling

Factory Styling

Factory-style graphics, black alumite rims, black front guard and rear fender, blue alumite finish on the suspension adjusters, and a blue finish on some of the engine trim give the KX250F the looks to match high tuned performance.

Progressive throttle link

Progressive throttle link

The 43 mm throttle body makes use of a progressive throttle link to deliver airflow in much the same way as would a FCR carburetor. Using two linked shafts, the throttle body opens more quickly after the 3/8 open position, delivering sharp response and excellent power feeling.

Powerful, high-revving dual-injection engine with factory-style tuning

Powerful, high-revving dual-injection engine with factory-style tuning

Tuned to best suit race-experienced riders, the 249 cm³ liquid cooled, 4-stroke Single's wide powerband focuses on high-rpm performance and extends way into the over-rev. Highly acclaimed for its high output and smooth power delivery (thanks to the world’s first dual injection for motocrossers, a direct-flow intake, and parts like the high-performance piston with bridged-box bottom). the MY14 KX250F benefits from the addition of the Launch Control Mode and trasmission revisions that deliver smoother shifting.
