KEY FEATURES

High-tech Paint

High-tech Paint

The mirrored-finish black chrome paint used on the Ninja H2 was developed by Kawasaki specifically for motorcycles. The highly reflective surface adds to the bike’s stunning design.

Bosch IMU

Bosch IMU

The use of Bosch’s compact IMU allows an additional layer of precision to be added to the already high-level KTRC, KLCM and KIBS.IMU enables inertia along 6 DOF (degrees of freedom) to be monitored. Acceleration along longitudinal, transverse and vertical axes, plus roll rate and pitch rate are measured.

Brakes

Brakes

A pair of massive ø330 mm Brembo semi-floating discs with a thickness of t5.5 mm deliver superb braking force.

Keeping The Engine Cool

Keeping The Engine Cool

In the interest of keeping the engine compact and simple, a single lubrication system provides cooling oil for the engine components, supercharger and transmission.

Single-sided Swingarm

Single-sided Swingarm

The Ninja H2 features Kawasaki’s first single-sided swingarm.

KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function)

KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function)

KCMF monitors engine and chassis parameters throughout the corner—from entry, through the apex, to corner exit—modulating brake force and engine power to facilitate smooth transition from acceleration to braking and back again, and to assist riders in tracing their intended line through the corner. On the Ninja H2, KCMF oversees the following systems:
- KTRC (including traction, wheelie and sliding control)
- KLCM
- KIBS (including pitching and corner braking control)
- Kawasaki Engine Brake Control

Aerodynamically-designed Bodywork

Aerodynamically-designed Bodywork

It is no accident that when viewed from the side, the Ninja H2 does not seem to have the aggressive forward-canted stance of most modern supersport models.

Dog-ring Transmission

Dog-ring Transmission

To facilitate smooth, quick shifting, a dog-ring type transmission was selected. This is the kind of transmission commonly found in MotoGP or Formula 1, and was developed with feedback from the Kawasaki Racing Team.

Original-design Wheels

Original-design Wheels

Cast aluminium wheels were designed specifically for the Ninja H2.

Green trellis frame

Green trellis frame

Like the Ninja H2R, the frame on the Ninja H2 Carbon is finished in green.

Instrumentation & Controls

Instrumentation & Controls

The advanced, hightech design of the instrumentation conveys
the image of piloting a jet fighter aircraft. Handle control switches put all mode selection and  display options at the rider’s fingertips.

Maximising Airflow Efficiency

Maximising Airflow Efficiency

All engines need to breathe. In addition to ensuring the engine has sufficient air, how the air is supplied is another concern.

KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter)

KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter)

The Ninja H2 was the first Kawasaki motorcycle to be fit standard with a quick shifter. For 2017, the quick shifter also enables clutchless downshifts.

In-house-designed Supercharger

In-house-designed Supercharger

The supercharger used in the Ninja H2 was designed by Kawasaki motorcycle engine designers with assistance from other companies within the KHI Group.

Öhlins TTX36 Rear Suspension

Öhlins TTX36 Rear Suspension

The addition of Öhlins’ highly acclaimed TTX shock offers numerous rider benefits:
- Increased rear stability, enhanced cornering performance.
- Excellent damping, increased riding comfort and sportier handling
- Increased rider confidence on circuit.
- Superb feedback from the road.
- More stability at speed, and lane changes executed more easily.
- Around town, the supple suspension absorbs bumps with ease, adding to ride comfort.

Carbon-fibre Upper Cowl

Carbon-fibre Upper Cowl

Constructed in highly rigid, lightweight CFRP (carbon-fibre reinforced polymer), the upper cowl instantly distinguishes the Ninja H2 Carbon from the standard Ninja H2. Creating an image similar to that of the Ninja H2R, the carbon-fibre piece contributes to enhanced presence.

Öhlins Electronic Steering Damper

Öhlins Electronic Steering Damper

At low speeds, the settings were chosen such that damping does not interfere with the bike’s intrinsic lightweight handling. At high speeds, damping increases to provide enhanced stability.

Supercharged emblem

Supercharged emblem

Revised “Supercharged” emblem emphasises the even greater power offered by Ninja H2’s supercharged engine.  Colour accents express the specialness of this high-performance engine, while graphics depicting high-velocity intake air being spun around convey a sense of speed.

Riding Position & Ergonomics

Riding Position & Ergonomics

As enjoyment of the intense acceleration and high-speed capabilities was the first priority, a solo seat for the rider is the only seating provided.

Suspensions

Suspensions

On the front KYB AOS-II racing suspension makes its debut on an on-road bike. On the rear KYB fully adjustable mono-shock rear suspension offers superb stability

Power Unit Designed to Withstand the 300 PS Output of the Closed-course Ninja H2R

Power Unit Designed to Withstand the 300 PS Output of the Closed-course Ninja H2R

Despite it’s familiar In-Line Four configuration, the Ninja H2 power unit is loaded with technology developed specifically for this supercharged engine.

Kawasaki River Mark

Kawasaki River Mark

Special permission was obtained to use the River Mark on the Ninja H2. Usually, its use on a product is reserved for models of historical significance.

Lighting Equipment

Lighting Equipment

The Ninja H2 is equipped with all the lights needed for street-legal operation. With the exception of the bulb illuminating the license plate, all lighting equipment on the Ninja H2 is of the LED type.

Smartphone Connectivity

Smartphone Connectivity

A Bluetooth chip built into the instrument panel enables riders to connect to their motorcycle wirelessly.  Using the smartphone application “RIDEOLOGY THE APP,” a number of instrument functions can be accessed, contributing to an enhanced motorcycling experience.
* A number of functions are available: - Vehicle Info: information such as fuel gauge, odometer, maintenance schedule, etc can be viewed via the smartphone. - Riding Log: route and rpm can be can be viewed via the smartphone. - Telephone notices: when a call, text or mail is received by the smartphone, this is indicated on the instrument display. - General Settings: general instrument display settings (such as preferred units, date, date format, etc) can be adjusted via the smartphone.

Hydraulic Assist & Slipper Clutch

Hydraulic Assist & Slipper Clutch

A high-quality hydraulic clutch offers less maintenance, ensuring the initial touch condition can be maintained. And with Brembo components, superb linearity and smooth actuation are also benefits.
