During the long summer break after the last WorldSBK round at the Balaton Park circuit in late July, Gerloff and his crew have had the chance to make an important test with the Ninja ZX-10RR at the Motorland Aragon circuit. This well-known Spanish venue will host its own WorldSBK round in 2025, between 26-28 September.
Before a return to Iberia for the final three rounds, the entire WorldSBK paddock will descend on the always exciting Magny Cours circuit, located in the epicentre of France. The 4.411km circuit has been the stage for many a WorldSBK’s biggest dramas over the years. It is also one of Garrett’s strongest circuits, as he secured pole position here in 2023 and took one of his eight career podium finishes at Magny Cours in Race Two last season.
On his first year of competition with Kawasaki in WorldSBK in 2025, he hopes to be able to fight for a season best finish, especially after having such a positive feeling at the recent Motorland tests.
The official Magny Cours weekend schedule for the WorldSBK riders begins with Free Practice One and Two on Friday, FP3, Superpole Qualifying and Race One on Saturday, then the ten-lap Superpole ‘Sprint’ Race, plus a full-distance Race Two, on Sunday, September 7.
Garrett Gerloff stated: “The Magny-Cours track is one of my favourites and we’re also coming off the back of a very positive test at Motorland Aragon, which was really useful. Thanks to my team’s great work, we were able to test some components that worked well and altered the performance of my Ninja. I’m keen to use them this coming weekend, in practice and in the races. We have everything we need to put together a good weekend.”
