KEY FEATURES

Electronic throttle valves

Electronic throttle valves

Electronic throttle valves – Kawasaki’s first use on a JET SKI – efficiently manage the ULTRA 300X’s massive power output. They also make minute engine control possible, enabling easy switching between riding modes.

Riding Position and Ergonomics

Riding Position and Ergonomics

Two-piece seat offers roomy accommodation for three people. The relatively narrow seat (now slightly slimmer at the front) is very comfortable for either stand-up or seated riding, as well as for passengers.

Capacious Storage

Capacious Storage

The ULTRA 300X offers a total storage capacity of 212 litres. The large-capacity, fully sealed 206-litre storage area has plenty of room for recreational equipment. A detachable storage compartment is also fitted.

Electric Trim-control System

Electric Trim-control System

This new system allows the angle of the jet pump nozzle to be controlled electrically (step-free adjustment range is ± 8° from STD), making it easier for riders to adjust the attitude of the hull to suit water surface conditions and riding style.

Electronic Cruise Control

Electronic Cruise Control

This mode fixes speed (rpm) at the level specified. It is a convenient feature for long-distance cruising.

All-digital Instrumentation

All-digital Instrumentation

New all-digital instrumentation makes use of a single, highly legible LCD display.

Fuel Economy Assistance Mode

Fuel Economy Assistance Mode

Fuel Economy Assistance Mode can be turned on and off by the rider. Activating this mode switches the ECU to a leaner fuel map that prioritises fuel economy over driveability. (Air and fuel injector volume are set for maximum fuel efficiency.) When on, a mark appears on the LCD screen.

Economical Riding Indicator

Economical Riding Indicator

Unlike the other riding modes, this handy feature is active all the time. The Economical Riding Indicator appears on the LCD screen to indicate favourable fuel consumption (i.e. at planing speed, when hull resistance is minimal). Paying attention to this indicator can help riders maximise their fuel efficiency.

5-way Adjustable Handle

5-way Adjustable Handle

True to its racing roots, the ULTRA 300X includes a 5-way adjustable handle that suits a wide range of riders and riding styles, allowing either stand-up or sit-down riding.

Lightweight Hull

Lightweight Hull

Complete re-evaluation of hull thickness resulted in idealised strength balance and significant weight reduction. Curb mass is now a trim 472 kg.

Quattro KSD

Quattro KSD

Ridges across the bottom of the bow, Kawasaki Splash Deflectors deflect water splashing forward from under the hull.

Massive Power. Impressive Acceleration

Massive Power. Impressive Acceleration

Fitted with a supercharger and intercooler, the ULTRA 300X’s liquid-cooled 1,498 cm3, In-line 4-cylinder marine engine produces an output much greater than a normally aspirated engine of the same displacement. A new supercharger elevates engine output to 221 kW (300 PS).

Sponsons

Sponsons

Sponsons extend from the hull to provide stable straight-line performance (e.g. porpoising from start is minimised, etc) while helping to retain the machine’s narrow overall design. They also contribute significantly to the ULTRA 300X’s high manoeuvrability when changing direction (particularly at higher speeds).

Supercharger and Intercooler

Supercharger and Intercooler

The roots type supercharger is known as a fixed displacement supercharger.

Kawasaki Smart Steering/SLO-Mode

Kawasaki Smart Steering/SLO-Mode

The KSS (Kawasaki Smart Steering) supplementary steering system is designed to assist new riders as they learn turning and manoeuvring of a personal watercraft.
