Pro KX450 rider, Greg Aranda once again showed excellent velocity, topping the majority of practice and qualifying races across the weekend plus winning all of the heat races.

Tough starts in both Superfinal races taxed Aranda as he was made to blast his way through a field of the UK’s fastest riders in the short and sharp races on both nights, ultimately crossing the line in second place for each race. Aranda holds onto the series lead with 4 points over main title rival, Cedric Soubeyras going into the final weekend which takes place in Sheffield on 15^th and 16^th February.

Aranda’s teammate, Jack Brunell was off to a flying start aboard his Kawasaki KX450 and running in third place during the first main event on Friday night but was abruptly halted when he suffered a crash and unfortunately injured his knee, forcing him to sit out the rest of the weekend. Brunell will hang up his boots, with the hope of recovering in time and being back with a vengeance for the final Sheffield round.

Shocktech Kawasaki rider, Fabien Izorid also suffered a crash during qualifying on Saturday and despite his lively spirits and hopes of return to the series, he will unfortunately miss the rest of the tour on account of a broken leg and collar bone. Kawasaki wish both riders a speedy recovery.

Additional Team Green Kawasaki rider, Ben Clayton couldn’t have performed better in the 250cc Rookie class, laying down a phenomenal weekend to win all four main events with his Kawasaki KX250 and firmly cementing his place at the top of the championship.

Once again the Team Green Supermini Cup was a sight to behold as eleven of the UK’s most talented junior Arenacross warriors battled it out on Kawasaki KX85 machinery in front of the lively crowd. Team Green regulars, Raife Broadley and Alfie Jones shared the spoils over the weekend taking two wins each. Both will head towards the final weekend on top of the table with only three points between them in favour of Broadley. With the eventual championship winner getting to keep their KX85, there is a lot at stake during the final round.

Kawasaki Motors UK Senior Racing Coordinator, Ross Burridge said, “It’s fantastic to see so much success for Team Green Kawasaki in the Arenacross Tour this year and that is reflected by us being in with a shout for winning the team title overall. Whilst it was great to see Greg on the podium both nights again, I was gutted to witness both Jack and Fabien get injured. Thankfully they are both ok and I hope they are both back riding and doing what they love as soon as possible. Once again the Team Green Supermini Cup was great to watch and it’s so cool to see the stars of tomorrow battling it out on Team Green machinery. I can’t wait to see each class go down to the wire in Sheffield.”
