25 October 2012 New Mick Extance Kawasaki off-road schools

World renowned Paris-Dakar rally competitor, Mick Extance, is set to unveil a series of off-road experiences in 2013 working with Kawasaki Motors UK and using machines from the company’s latest off-road range.
Offering a suite of attractions for the widest possible range of rider skill levels and ages, the Mick Extance Kawasaki experience will appeal to both established motocross and enduro fans as well as novices keen to see what off-road riding has to offer.

With a fleet of Kawasaki KX machines from 85cc junior bikes all the way to the powerful KX450F , customers will be mounted on the very latest machinery including the new-for-2013 KX250F , one of the most popular MX2 class racing machines currently available.

For enduro fans the news is just as good with a separate fleet of Kawasaki machinery dedicated to this ever popular off-road discipline. Ranging from the competition honed KLX450R , for the more experienced adult riders, to the KLX125 and KLX250 for entry level and intermediate riders, Extance has courses planned in a variety of locations across the UK during 2013.

Commenting, David Edwards of Kawasaki Motors UK highlighted the depth of experience that Extance brings to bear as well as the wider Kawasaki offering in the off-road environment.

“Mick is a five time Paris-Dakar rally finisher and is highly respected for an ability to pass his riding skills and knowledge on. That means for 2013 we will have a cutting edge facility offering motocross and enduro training for a vast cross-section of skill levels and rider ages. With plans to run schools at locations across the UK, we hope that existing riders will see the benefit of Mick’s knowledge and that his reputation will also entice those totally new to the off-road environment.”

As well as Kawasaki’s already established trail and off-road school in Wiltshire, the new Mick Extance off-road experience will provide a wider geographical reach and further strengthens Kawasaki Team Green suite of offerings that also includes Chiltern Young Riders and Stalker MX, the Chris Walker off-road offering and practice track, as Edwards concludes.

“We’ve always seen Team Green as a ladder of opportunity welcoming new riders while incentivising those who already own a Kawasaki motocross or enduro machine. For 2013 we’ll have all the bases covered with opportunities to try all that the Kawasaki world of two wheels off-road has to offer”.

Mick and his team will join Kawasaki at the International Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh Park from 1 - 4 November and Motorcycle Live at the NEC in Birmingham from the 24 November until the 2 December.
