8 November 2016 Kawasaki choose EICMA for three important product unveilings

As one of the largest motorcycle shows in the world, Kawasaki has chosen EICMA in Milan to unveil three new machines as part of its ambitious venture to launch twelve new motorcycles in a two year cycle.
Capitalising on their global reach, Kawasaki will introduce another member of its successful Versys family at EICMA. The new Versys-X 300 joins the much loved Versys 650 and Versys 1000 which receive colour and graphic upgrades for 2017.

Expanding demand in the Asian market – especially for low and mid capacity machines – has delivered the opportunity for European riders to benefit from the development of the 300cc Adventure Style “any roads” machine with big bike looks mated to long travel suspension and a commendably low seat height. Matched to a weather beating screen and wide handlebars, the Versys-X 300 is predicted to appeal to many rider groups from those seeking their first motorcycle to those who enjoy the looks and style of larger machines but not the associated weight and slightly higher running costs.

Z is also back with a vengeance at EICMA which will witness the launch of not one but two significant Z models. Over forty years have passed since the first Z machine and the iconic Kawasaki naked brand is as popular as ever. Refined and Raw, the new twin cylinder Z650 will be seen in the flesh for the first time at EICMA exactly four decades after the launch of its game-changing namesake. With unique to Kawasaki Sugomi inspired looks, the Z650 is the natural successor of the popular ER-6n and is predicted to be a strong seller in the competitive European market in 2017.

With the mighty Z1 as “Great Grandfather”, the new-for-2017 streetfighter style Z900 is a much anticipated machine. The covers will come off at EICMA to reveal a trellis framed machine with uncompromising looks that is set to deliver a fulfilling riding experience to those that will migrate from the mid-capacity class. Kawasaki is confident that its appeal will encompass both highly experienced enthusiasts and those climbing the ladder of experience.

The entire 2017 model range is being showcased at EICMA, including the new Vulcan S Cafe, Final Edition W800 and exciting new colourways for existing models - including the J125.

All the new models can be seen in the UK for the first time at Motorcycle Live (19-27 November) on the Kawasaki Motors UK stand – Hall 2 Stand 2B15.

UK prices are yet to be announced, the Z650 is expected to be available by December 2016, followed by the J300 and J125 in January 2017, the Z900 in February and Versys-X 300 in April 2017.
