26 September 2012 Kawasaki Z40 Limited Edition watch unveiled

This year marks 40 years of the Z family that started with the iconic Z1 in 1972 being launched in Europe at the IFMA show in Cologne, Germany. There have been a number of Z40 celebration elements already and the public reaction to the campaign has been very positive indeed. The most exclusive of the planned celebration items is now ready to be unveiled.
The Limited Edition Z40 Chronograph watch has been created to mark this very important Kawasaki event. The watch will be officially launched at the main German motorcycle show, Intermot, on 2 October just as the Z1 came to Europe 40 years ago and was also displayed in Germany for the very first time.

Mirroring the engine capacity of the Z1, the run of watches has been limited to just 903 time pieces with a UK retail price of £249.95

The key features of the watch are:

- Design of watch reflects the1972 Z1 iconic paint and graphic treatment
- Face of watch features original style Kawasaki logo and Z1 DOHC side panel badge
- Reverse of watch features Z40 logo and unique watch edition number
- Watch only available in the European market as Kawasaki genuine accessory
- Production run limited to just 903 pieces (the same as Z1 engine size at 903cc)
- Supplied in a colour coded and branded case featuring embossed Z40 logo
- Certificate of authenticity accompanies each watch
- Four dial chronograph/tachymeter function and water resistant to 5 ATM
- Watch made in stainless steel by respected Austrian manufacturer Hirsch

Ordering information:
Applications for watches must be made via a Kawasaki motorcycle dealer. Those successful in applying for a Limited Edition Z40 watch will be informed after 2 October when the first batch will start to be delivered.
