20 September 2023 Kawasaki British Superteen Championship Gets Underway With First Rides

Over the Oulton Park BSB weekend, Kawasaki UK invited riders interested in the all-new Kawasaki British Superteen series to try the exciting Ninja ZX-4RR machine. The undulating Cheshire circuit proved the perfect testing ground for riders looking to “ride before they buy”, with further tests coming at Donington Park and Brands Hatch.

Since the announcement of the Kawasaki British Superteen Championship in July, interest in the new affordable and competitive series has been very high. After Cheshire Moulding Kawasaki’s Lee Jackson gave the bike its track debut with some demonstration laps at Thruxton, Oulton Park BSB was the first opportunity for riders interested in joining the series for 2024 to experience the bike.

Five riders currently competing in the British Junior Supersport class were given the opportunity to get some laps in on the MSS Performance-prepared Ninja ZX-4RR. The immediate feedback from all five was incredibly positive, with excitement already building ahead of the inaugural race next year.

With it being a completely new class and machine, Kawasaki UK is keen to give as many interested parties as possible a chance to experience the bike before committing to the series, which is why they will also be running additional opportunities at the final two rounds of the season at Donington Park and Brands Hatch. Any riders interested in taking part should contact MSS Performance.

Kawasaki is also pleased to welcome a host of series partners to further enhance the support package for riders, including K-Tech suspension, GB Racing, Spark IT and Silkolene. Any riders or teams interested in joining the grid next season should email orders@mssperformance.com to book your bike build and superteen@msvracing.co.uk to register your slot on the grid.

After trying the Ninja ZX-4RR, Charlotte Marcuzzo:
“That bike was awesome! A lot of it was different from the 400 I’m used to, but I really enjoyed it, and you could tell the difference in the power straight away. It also handled really nicely, and I felt like I could be really smooth with it – so that’s me signed up for next year!”

Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK:
“It was fantastic to see our first potential Superteen riders head out on track on the race-spec Ninja ZX-4RR! I spoke to each of them when they returned to pit lane, and trust me, there were a lot of smiling faces! I’m pleased that Stuart Higgs has allowed us this opportunity, as once you have swung your leg over our ZX-4RR, there’s no going back! I look forward to speaking to more potential riders at the remaining BSB rounds.”
