5 February 2013 Championship success for Kawasaki at LG Arena

Round three of the UK Arenacross series was held at Birmingham’s LG Arena and Kawasaki riders once more impressed with representation on every single podium celebration throughout the evening.
Taking the packed stadium by storm, the official MX team of Kawasaki Motors UK, Maxxis Kawasaki by LPE, supported a series of cool and assured rides by Jack Brunel on his KX450F . Unbeatable on the night, Brunel won both of his heats then a head to head win and moved on to be triumphant in the main event. Now just eight points from rival Adam Chatfield going into the final round at the Echo Arena, Liverpool, Brunel has marked himself out as a prospect for top honours.

Green bikes were also to the fore in the youth classes with Team Green rider Dylan Woodcock taking an emphatic third win in a row and, in the process, making the small wheel 85cc overall crown his own thanks to an unassailable points lead.

Fellow Team Green riders, Preston Williams and Billy King also felt the podium under their boots over the course of the night with a 2nd and 3rd in the 65cc and 85cc Big Wheel classes respectively.

An uncharacteristic fall left Kawasaki supported Ifly Lanes Kawasaki rider James Harrison with too much ground to make up in the Rookie class but honours were upheld by Kawasaki mounted riders, Gradie Featherstone and Ben Putnam taking their KX250F machines to second and third places overall.

Impressed with all Kawasaki riders on the night, Racing Coordinator for Kawasaki, Ross Burridge, reflected on success across the board from the KX65 to KX85 KX85 II , KX250F and KX450F :

"What a fantastic evening! That win for LPE has been a long time coming, and Jack really showed his true potential, dominating the event in style. Added to that, our three rider Team Green line-up each ended with a podium position in Birmingham. Finally, Dylan taking the 85cc Championship win capped an historic evening for Kawasaki. It looks like Team Green is fulfilling its aim and nurturing some real off-road talent."
