JG Speedfit Kawasaki rider and official Team Green entrant, James Hillier, has been competing in both the Superstock and Supersport races at numerous British Superbike rounds – this is the first time the Bournemouth-based rider has done both. With multiple podiums in the Superstock and Superbike classes over the last few years at the TT, Hillier will be chasing his ultimate goal of winning a Superbike TT race.
Following his best ever year at the TT in 2016 with a number of podium finishes, Dean Harrison, from the Silicone Engineering Kawasaki team, is arriving at the event after a strong performance at the North West 200. Harrison will be competing on Kawasaki machinery across the Supersport, Superstock and Superbike classes and holds the advantage of remaining with the same team for two consecutive years.
Steve Mercer and Ivan Lintin will be competing across all classes as part of the Dafabet Devitt Kawasaki team. The team’s Lightweight class machine is one to beat – already winning the race three times. Lintin, having won the Lightweight race twice himself, will be looking to score his ‘hat-trick’.
Racing Co-ordinator, Ross Burridge, said: “The Isle of Man TT is always one of our favourite events of the road racing season and this year is no exception. We have a list of fantastic riders and teams representing Kawasaki and we’re hopeful of an enjoyable, successful and safe week of racing. Best of luck to all involved – Kawasaki and non-Kawasaki riders alike.”
The Isle of Man TT begins on Saturday 27 May and finishes on Friday 9 June.
