With nearing a decade of experience on Ninja machinery, the Pedercini team attack the Stock 1000 Championship in 2016 as an officially supported team for Kawasaki Motors Europe.
Based near Mantovana in Italy, and counting on support from not just the Kawasaki Head Office in Holland but the local Italian Branch too, the family run team is understandably tight knit with, at its head, the affable and ambitious Lucio Pedercini, a former Grand Prix level racer himself.
Focussing on the new 2016 Ninja ZX-10R, the team field two riders in Stock 1000 with a season that is slightly shorter than the full WSBK Championship kicking off in April at Aragon in Spain and ending again at a European track, Jerez in southern Spain in late October.A formidable package as standard, many observe that the latest Ninja ZX-10R is an ideal base for Stock racing. The Pedercini team are determined to prove the point with two exciting riders in Jeremy Guarnoni and Christophe Ponnson, both with the potential to threaten for podium places in what will be one of the most hotly contested Championships this year.Adding extra spice to the Pedercini paddock scene in 2016 will be a two rider line up in World Superbikes. A project that the team themselves is embarking on alongside their Stock 1000 programme, the riders are new talent Saeed Al Sulaiti from Qatar and two time Superstock 1000 Champion, Sylvain Barrier from France.
