7 September 2015 Continued success for Kawasaki’s Max Anstie in the Maxxis British MX2 Championship

The penultimate round of the Maxxis British Championship took place in the deep sand of Preston Docks on Sunday 6 September.
Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki rider, Max Anstie, qualified in pole position and then rode superbly to command all three race wins on the day aboard his Kawasaki KX250F. He is now 44 points clear in the title chase, despite missing the first round through injury.

The final round in the Championship will take place in four weeks at Fatcat Motoparc near Doncaster, where Max will look to wrap up the MX2 title in style.

In the MX1 class, Tanel Leok had an unfortunate bike issue meaning he couldn’t start race one. He raced to 2nd place in both race two and three, taking 5th overall – which cements his 2nd place in the title chase.

Ross Burridge, Senior Racing and Marketing Co-ordinator, said: “Max has been in phenomenal form this season both at home and in the GP series. It has been a while since Kawasaki have won a British MX2 Championship so fingers will be firmly crossed at the last round in the hope Max can bring it home!"
